THE following are explanations of the punishments that are commonplace in the City of Sarbreenar.

High Execution: The removal of the spirit from the physical body on a permanent basis. Magical means will be used to ensure that what is severed shall not be rejoined.

Execution: The removal of the spirit from the physical body on a permanent basis, followed by the application of a clerical Reincarnation spell. Payment for the spell to be made from the miscreant’s property.

Exile: Banishment forever from land under the control of Sarbreenar. Tarring and feathering is an optional extra.

Servitude: Compulsory hard labour for the community benefit, on a full time basis for a period at the discretion of the court. It may be followed by exile.

Loss of Office: A removal from public office and a lifetime ban on the holding of such office. It may be followed by exile.

City Service: Voluntary service for the community benefit, on a part or full time basis for a period not exceeding one year. In lieu of acceptance by the miscreant, exile with confiscation of land but not goods will be imposed.

Major fine: 1,000 to 100,000 gp.

Minor fine: 10 to 1,000 gp.

Compensation: Reparation to the person(s) wronged, by way of money or service.
