Playing between conventions
There are lots of ways you can continue to to keep Sarbreenar alive
between conventions. These are just a few.
Rant n Rave
on the City Noticeboard
Every Citizen can express their (characters) opinion on the
City Noticeboard and you can expect to get a lively response from
other Citizens who may... or may not... share your opinions. This
is the place to tell everyone about your business, to lobby a political
point of view, to protest at the High Councils actions, to
recruit an adventuring team, to court a romantic partner, accuse
a miscreant or to boast of your adventures.
Live Chat with other Citizens
On some Tuesdays and Thursday evenings you can meet in the virtual
inns and taverns of Sarbreenar for a chat with other Citizens. Theres
no telling who you might meet. Just log on and gossip, flirt, boast
and brag away. Who knows what rumours youll discover or allies
you will make.
Develop your own business
For a very reasonable cost you can buy a property and with the
permission of the High Council you can develop a thriving business.
There are full rules for
this but essentially we favour a variety of businesses in the City.
We already have enough Inns and Armourers. Once your businesses
is agreed you can draw up floor plans, submit descriptions of the
building and the business and we will do our best to help you post
this information on the web site for all players to see.
Become a volunteer, too!
We run so many adventures throughout the year and rarely repeat
them so we are always short of writers. If you have ever thought
of writing an adventure this is a great chance. We can give you
plot leads and background information to help you use all the colour,
the characters and intrigue that has become a part of Sarbreenar.
Or help DM a Sarbreenar game at a tournament near you. Or write
story about an adventure you played. Or submit some artwork for
a building or character from Sarbreenar.
Email sarbadmin@googlemail.com
So
as not to disadvantage players without Internet access, we
insist that if you submit material to develop your character
or business it must be sent by post as hard copy (and ideally
in electronic format, too.)
This work is entirely
carried out by volunteers so please allow 21 days notice before
the next Convention in which you want any changes to take
effect. Thanks.
