The
Auld Cemetery was befouled by the abominations of the Deathweaver.
Tombs were ripped apart and used for his unholy purposes.
Recently the cemetery and the Keepers Lodge
have been taken over by Tannvik, a follower of Kelemvor. He has
been working hard to restore and re-consecrate the area as follows.
The Old Keepers Cottage
The cottage appears to be about 150 years old. All
exterior walls, chimney breast and roof have been repaired recently.
The front door and shutters over the windows have been replaced
and a new sign erected over the door to say, in common, Property
of the Church of Kelemvor. The wild berry vines on
the outside wall have been trained to grow in an orderly way so
as to not hinder the doors and windows, but to also provide a good
supply of fruit. The interior has been cleaned thoroughly and a
new table and a pair of new beds installed. The fireplace has a
new grate and new cooking pot. A pair of lanterns has been added,
along with a simple chest that will contain several blankets. All
items are marked with Property of the Church of Kelemvor.
A sheet has been hung on the rail and behind this on the rear wall
is Kelemvors symbol and underneath reads, Lord
of the Dead, Judge of the Damned, in the common tongue.
A new safe area has been made directly under the symbol.
A path leads eastward from the front door, to the
cemetery.
The Graveyard
The Graveyard has been fully restored since the Deathweaver
depredations. The path from the cottage to the graveyard has been
cleared to allow safe passage. The railings have been removed from
Tomb 1 and put back into place. Gaps are filled with new railings
and brushed off and re-painted. All disturbed graves have been re-dug,
with the remains of those within laid back to rest with the proper
ceremonies observed. The entire grounds, paths and gravestones have
been cleaned and cleared of excess foliage.
Tomb1: Cleaned completely inside and out, re-blessed
and made ready for someone or someone with the right donation to
be buried within.
Tomb 2: This tomb would be large enough to be turned
into a proper shrine for the whole of the graveyard, once furnished
with a few pews, lanterns etc, a small service could take place
here prior to any burial.
Tomb 3: Again the entire tomb has been cleaned and
re-blessed. The coffins inside will remain untouched but again room
has been made for those who with the right donation, wish to have
a more monumental reminder to their existence.
