Majikus the Most Masterfully Magnificent
Necromantic Mage of Mystras Fountain of Knowledge Part 1
The Life you lead
What kind of life would you want to lead?
No, seriously, ask yourself this? Would you want to lead the life
of the common peasant where you get up in the morning, work for
a bit, go to the tavern to get drunk, annoy great people like
me and then go to bed, sleep, get up in the morning, go to work
for a bit and so on and so forth. Or would you rather lead a life
where things actually happen! And the best bit is that you can
actually do something about it. You have the education, wealth,
faith or strength to actually go out there and make something
of your life! Maybe you will go off on some wild adventure every
now and then? Or perhaps you will open up a new enterprise, travel
to faraway lands, create new spells, fight and drive off evil
beings and all of that!
Now, in your eyes, which sounds more exciting?
Which of these lives seems more worth living? Naturally, there
are going to be people that will vote for either lifestyle. I
mean lets face it, one offers security, stability and basically
a routine, whilst the other offers unpredictability, excitement,
adventure, great wealth!
and great loss.
Now without having to really ask, we know
that the peasants chose the former (which is probably a good thing.
We do need at least some people to carry out the degrading jobs
and to also supply the servant trade) and those that
would wish to have an exciting life, well why not save your pennies
until you can afford a dagger or a pitchfork or something, and
then go off adventuring with some of the newer adventurers? I
mean, jeez, I wouldnt have a foul smelling rodent, claiming
to be a human wielding a pitchfork to get anywhere near me. Of
course there maybe exceptions, like perhaps if they actually showed
a slight aptitude for magic, I might try and teach him a little
magic and see how he progresses from there. Obviously, the dreg
can thank me later when he has reached the stage of lesser
adventurer and his life is just that much more exciting.
But
yes, I digress it would seem. Hmm, where was I? I think that this
will be enough on this section for part 1. I imagine that most
peoples minds would be hitting the melting point after such
intensive and intellectual reading.
The Closing of the Order of the Everliving
Yes, it is all in the title. I have decided
that the Order of the Everliving is to cease functioning and close
down as of now
for now anyway.
Mordent
She is a darling isnt she? I cant
say that Ive never been happier than being in her company.
She just seems so full of life (a little ironic for Necromancers
eh? Or so common belief would indicate) and her tantrums are ever
so amusing, though when I think about it, they are probably quiet
scary in their own right. What with her field of studies and all
that?
Still, regardless, she has helped me to
develop and I really should get myself a pair of fangs like hers
though I might decide to enchant mine, just for a little
extra effect. Its good to see her out and about in the city
now, what with her being in the Spellcasters Guild for so
long. Im sure that if people just gave her the chance to
let her get to know them, they will find that she is such a sweet
and charismatic girl.
I dont really care what people think
of her and I have been told by others that Water Faeries are much
more prettier. I saw one in a sewerage pump not too long ago actually,
which was just infested with chokers! I really do wonder what
she was doing in such a degrading place? Still, when I think about
it, Mordent is just so much more attractive to me, what with her
gothic appearance, and tiny little fangs, its actually quite cute.
See readers, now you know that us Necromancers
arent just people that steal other peoples lives and
raise the dead. Saying that, Clerics raise the dead so I dont
see whats so bad about raising the dead
but that
shall have to be looked into further in part 2.
Wondrous
Items
Whilst Im here writing this, I may
as well add that I am well versed in creating wondrous items and
should anyone be interested in having one created for them, please
feel free to seek me out and I shall do my best to create it for
them. I do offer quite attractive prices that the market could
bear (As Rabbit would say)
Well now, there we have it. This is the end of the first part
of the Fountain of Knowledge edition part 1 and it wasnt
that bad a read now was it? I shall be writing again soon and
well, until next time, I fare thee well, adventurers, Sarbreenites
and peasants alike
I wonder if peasants could actually
afford this excellent article? Let alone be able to read?
