Lathander

Lathander is an optimistic deity who blesses new ventures. He destroys undead with his mace, Dawnspeaker. He is an exuberant, vibrant deity who enjoys doing things just for their own sake.

Churches of Lathander always face East and usually display their wealth without shame. Every morning at dawn, Samian Ware, the priest of Lathander in Sarbreenar, sings out the Song of the Dawn, welcoming a new day and new ventures. The church believes it is everyone's sacred duty to start new enterprises and foster wealth and prosperity. Although Lathander is opposed to death he accepts Kelemvor because he hates undead.
